Space Boffins Sue Nelson and Richard Hollingham celebrate the drama of the Spirit and Opportunity rover missions with NASA rover engineer Doug Ellison and JPL research scientist Abigail Fraeman. They both feature in a new film - Goodnight Oppy - released on Amazon Prime Video. Doug and Abigail recall how the robots developed personalities and talk about the highs and lows of the mission. Sue also travels to Bristol to hear about a new mission, SWOT, to measure the Earth’s surface water. Plus we discuss children’s space books with authors (and scientists) Raman Prinja and Sheila Kanani, and the joys of Shaun the Sheep and space xmas decorations.
