A 1948 autopsy specimen from a 43 year old man who collapsed at work and was taken semiconscious to his local hospital. He was thought to have had a myocardial infarct and was transferred to the intensive care unit. Despite supportive treatment he went into irreversible left heart failure and died the following day.
