A 1969 autopsy specimen from a young man on large doses of immuno suppressive drugs to prevent rejection of a transplanted organ. The grafted organ worked perfectly and showed no evidence of rejection. The patient died four months after the operation as a result of widespread pulmonary aspergillosis.
