Chris Smith from The Naked Scientists takes on YOUR questions. Can contact lenses make your eyes better than perfect vision? How intense can deja-vu be? Why do we hum? Why are there more jetstreams in the Northern Hemisphere? Why doesn't armpit hair grow like head hair? Why are mushroom clouds mushroom-shaped? Can you be allergic to electricity? And why does gravity attract mass? Plus, they say in space, no one can hear you scream, but is that true...?

Hi, Chris.
I heard you say this morning on BBC Breakfast that 90% of Covid 19 transmission takes place within the home. My partner and I both thought: 'So, what started the recent emphasis on wearing masks? Doesn't this simply dilute the message that good hand cleanliness is crucially important?' Could the whole mask wearing practice actually be counter productive if it causes people to forget from hand sanitising? Masks seem to us to be more about people FEELING safe rather than actually having any meaningful impact in reducing cross infection. What ar your views on this?
