An 1968 autopsy specimen from an eight week old boy who was normal at birth but was noted to be cyanosed and breathless on feeding at six days. Cardiac catheterisation and cine-angiography suggested the presence of a persistent truncus arteriosus, a VSD and a small ASD, post-mortem examination confirmed these findings.
