A 1931 autopsy specimen from a 27 year old man admitted for diarrhoea which had been intermittent for three months. The diarrhoea persisted despite treatment and he developed ulcers upon the tongue. He rapidly became emaciated and died. At autopsy the alimentary tract was the seat of ulceration from the jejunum to the sigmoid colon.
