Large intestine: Imperforate Anus

Brian K., three weeks, born under the care of a midwife and not examined by a doctor never achieved more than a slight green stain on the napkin - except for urination, which proceeded normally. He fed poorly after the end of the first week, and lost weight steadily, vomiting setting in four days before death; he was then taken to the local hospital where an imperforate anus was at once incised.
