A 1973 autopsy specimen consisting of a vertical slice of an enlarged kidney (225g) from an Irish woman, aged 47, who died from redwater fever (piroplasosis or bebesiosis) caused by bebesia divergens. The kidney is intensely congested with streaking of the medullary rays.
